Dear Drs. Gutmann, Gocial, Castelbaum, and Freedman, —
Thank you very much for helping our dream of becoming parents become closer to reality. You are truly amazing. We appreciate all you have done and look forward to keeping in touch with you over the next 6 1/2 months with updates.
Dr. Freedman & Staff, —
On January 5th, we welcomed our baby, Kevin into this world. He is such a joy and a wonderful addition to our family. We just wanted to thank you all for your help in getting pregnant. Our experience was fantastic. Your staff was so kind and supportive along the way. Dr. Freedman, you are such a wonderful doctor and we are so lucky we were able to be a part of your practice.
Dear Dr. Castelbaum, —
I want to express my sincerest thanks for all you have done. Your expertise, skill, plus your never-ending passion for your craft have all allowed me to reach my dream of having a baby. Furthermore, I always appreciated your pleasant “bedside manner” and your ability to answer the plethora of questions I posed both with patience and with an educated, often empirically backed response. Finally, I congratulate you on having a practice that runs like a well-oiled piece of machinery, despite the complexity of patient care, and for creating an environment that allows patients to feel comfortable and well taken care of even when in difficult situations.
With my sincerest gratitude,
Dear Jackie, —
Although this note is extremely overdue, it does not diminish our eternal gratitude to you for all you did for us in our fertility struggle while in Philly. You really made what was a miserable fight to conceive bearable. Your optimism, your honesty, the way you take patient by patient into account, your sense of humor, etc all set the bar too high for another specialist to match!
However, we do have great news…we came back to SF and started working with Collin Smickle (I believe you went to school with him). He did two failed injectible / IUI cycles and then moved to an IVF cycle. Luckily, we were successful – had 36 mature eggs retrieved, about 20 fertilized, we implanted two and froze eleven. One stuck and I am now 16 weeks along.
Thank you for everything you did for us. All the time you spent with us made the world of difference. We hope all is well.
